Does your router have another ethernet port, or just one?

it has multiple but I cannot reach the router without moving all my furniture :(

Have you tried restarting your router?
I know it sounds silly but sometime this can solve a host of issues.

That's unfortunate. Is it connected to port number 1, right?
A router restart is also recommended.

Hi there shyboo
Please check the routers ports i have linked which ports are needed to be opened to connect. Please also try to get a ethernet cable to see if wifi is giving you the problem, you can get a long one for tenner dollars on Amazon next day delivery always good to have a spare

Your internet provider could be experiencing outages right now. Outages can effect Wi-Fi and wired internet in vastly different capacities. I would recommend calling and checking. I know Spectrum internet has been going out in many areas across the USA as of late.
If its not that it may just be the console itself. It should eventually fix itself, these things all ways do I believe.

Try resetting the router, update your wifi settings and update your console. If youve got poor connection maybe think about a wifi extender or booster

G'day,
Couple of things you should investigate.
How old is the router? Does it need a firmware update?
How many other devices are connected at any one time, WiFi or ethernet?
I replaced my router after having connection problems and only have the XB1X connected.
It may also be the game server you are playing on.
Do you get disconnected while playing only 1 game or any of them?
If its the later I suggest you turn off all devices connected and pull the power cable out of the console and power cycle your router.
Wait... Until the router is fully operational (green lights) before reconnecting console power cable, turning your console back on and reconnect your console to XBL.
Without connecting any other devices to your router see if you disconnect again while playing a game.
Let us know here regardless of the outcome, good or bad, and we can investigate further.

our internet provider didn't have any when this happened because my brother can game fine upstairs without it disconnecting :c

we have a Wi-Fi extender but it doesn't do much for the Wi-Fi itself my Xbox itself is cabled. the connection is fine it's just that it randomly disconnects
