Best Tomato Beef Chow Mein Sf
LOVE the chow mein house special noodles!
vegans: They have faux meat proteins which are tastier than tofu. It has great texture too. Try the chow mein (79) request hot mustard which they keep in back🌶‼️ request hoisin sauce too if you like.
All vegetarian/ vegan tastiness w/ no msg! Try the eggplant & "sea bass" + fragrant crispy "chicken." Also - they don't use onion or garlic...
2. Z & Y Restaurant
The wait was not bad, but have your party members with you. The chow mein was quite tasty along with the cashew chicken and the eggplant w/ garlic though it was very spicy.
Everything is good here. We must have ordered 9 courses and everything was delishios. Garlic shrimp, wontons and chow mein stood out though.
Did not like the tan tan mien - oddly bitter tasting. The chow mein was oily but good
3. Mission Chinese Food
Eel roll, tiki pork belly, spicy beef chow mein
We liked the beef chow mein, ma pao tofu and beer pickles. The ma pao was really spicy but delicious.
Thrice cooked bacon, mapo tofu and the Chow mein are all really good. I wish they brought the squid ink noodles back.
4. Dragon Well
My favorite chow mein AND potstickers in the city! Great service and so yummy!!

Take The mongolian beef
5. Kam Po Kitchen
Chicken Chow Mein all the way!
Roast duck is amazing. Seafood chow mein also on point. Very affordable.

6. Darren's Cafe
The plates are huge, chow mein and chicken teriyaki is so good, and the staff is sweet, brought my daughter fruit while we waited.
Good breakfast + the chow mein was great
Can't go wrong with the Beef Pho. Their fried chicken is also quite good, try it with eggs and rice.
This place is Always delicious & great quality. Wonton soup, crispy tofu w/ Salt & Chili Peppers, braised spar ribs, veggie chicken chow mein w/ black pepper, house special fried rice w/ BBQ pork
Good food, cool triangle plates & friendly service!
lettuce wrapped is a must try.
8. Alice's Restaurant
really good cheap chinese. i recommend the orange chicken, basil eggplant, and chow mein.
I've been coming here for years, it's our neighborhood place - great food, good service, kid friendly. Try the Mango Chicken and the Mongolian Beef, both are excellent!
Pretty much anything on menu is delicious
9. R&G Lounge 嶺南小館
Best Chinese I've ever had. Try the Cubed Steak in X.O sauce or beef chow mein.
My favorite cantonese place. Get all the crabs, salted egg, salt and pepper, ginger scallion... Good ken tung spare ribs, fried rice, crispy chow mien, Peking duck...
Very good Cantonese food here, the seafood very fresh! Order crabs and shrimps. Always a lot of people during dinner time, so reservation is recommended.
10. Kingdom of Dumpling
Really solid XLB, obviously. Obsessed with the garlic string beans, traditional scallion pancakes and their fried, chow mein noodles are always good to throw into the mix.
Shanghai dumplings, chicken chow mein and beef pancakes ftw
This tiny place offers really good and reasonable dishes. Worth to stopping by.
11. Bamboo Restaurant
Teriyaki, orange & kung pao chicken with white rice + pork chow mein! Cozy, big portions and delicious.
Best Chinese restaurant in the city, and a really good deal! Take the orange chicken: it's the best!!
Mongolian beef was outstanding! Plenty of beef!
12. Sai Jai Thai
Chow Mein is amazing!
We really enjoyed the pork shoulder, papaya salad and pad Thai were all superb. But if you say you want the papaya salad spicy - it's really spicy!
7x7's Big Eat 2012 says the pork shoulder fried rice is delicious. Yum!
13. MaMa Ji's
Best dim sum east of Masonic. Spicy cold noodles, beef chow mein, soup dumplings, green beans, lava buns, bang bang chicken - that's just my order for 2. Every single dish on the menu is on point.
The dim sum is fantastic. Don't miss the turnip with shrimp and pork
Crispy fried eggplant was better than 95% of the French fries I've ever had. Don't miss the dry fried green beans. Addictive!
Try the Shrimp Chow Mein
Rather greasy Chinese food. Don't get the Chow Mein, but the glass noodles with ground pork and dry fried green beans were delicious.
Orange chicken and hunan scallops are the best. Everything though is super solid.
Dumplings are to die for & chow mein is delicious
Stir fried green beans and shrimp, bean curd with beef, and the combination fried rice are some of their best, + really friendly staff!
They can make dishes using Tamari instead of soy sauce for gluten free folks.
